The coffee table.

When Justin came ahead to set things up for us he got us the bare essentials, so that when I arrived we could make a home together.

That was getting a dining table, a couch, photos, drawers, extra bedding etc. Once this was all ticked off the list we did kind of think to ourselves; man it would be nice if we had a coffee table’, and that was the last we thought of it.

Fast forward 4 months, after church this last Sunday, just before we were about to pull into our complex when we noticed a 'garage sale' sign, and on a whim we followed the sign, what happened next was so fun, tons of beautiful antique hardwood furniture, including the this beautiful coffee table with a glass top (we didn't like the glass top)

Now you might be wondering what the point of this whole tangent is, and that is the fact that, moving is hard, starting over is hard, but we have had the most fun doing this together. I think honestly this is one of the highlights of my life, making a life and a home with my husband, picking up a $20 furniture that people don't want anymore; including our coffee table for our home. -People here like to buy new things all the time!!!

Alright mushiness aside, this is in my opinion best way to shop, I’m constantly paging through the local market feed for old furniture in need of a face lift/TLC, I would highly recommend you push through the awkwardness and pull into that persons driveway, have a scratch around and walk away with a new prize possession that you can have fun with; old frames, and old stool, table with some scratches etc. 

What makes this way of shopping even better its high quality without the sting $$$, and one day when your taste changes you wont feel too terrible when you want to sell it. :) I think we'll keep this table for a while hehe.

*side note if your area doesn’t have garage sales, browse that market place, but have patience and wait for the right thing and the right deal!*
